Swerve Street Magazine Auckland

Swerve was a free Auckland street magazine in the 1990s. Swerve magazine was published David Nichol. It appeared bi-monthly over a 2 year period, was printed by Times Colour Print and distributed around central Auckland. Swerve was available for free in fashion stores, music shops (yes, they existed!) and funky cafes.

Envisage designed all issues of Swerve Magazine from our central Ponsonby studio. We took graphic design reference from the excellent Planet Magazine and the wildly successful Pavement Magazine.

We’re proud to have worked with David and his talented team of writers and photographers. Remarkably, this was a truly creative period of ‘street publishing’ in Aotearoa New Zealand. Good times.
