Tapa Table up for grabs

I’m gifting my boardroom table to the Auckland Samoan community over Xmas.
My design studio operated out of a Ponsonby office during the 1990’s servicing mainly local and Pacific Island based clients including the Samoan Visitors Bureau and the Cook Islands Tourism Authority. The focal point of the busy studio was a large ‘Tapa Table’. I commissioned the table to be designed and built by local furniture artist John Drapper.
Specifications: Kidney shape, 4m x 1.5m on 25mm particle board, 3 removable leg columns, authentic 1 piece samoan tapa table surface, resin coated, gold marine rope trim, polynesian cherub figurines and shells from Aututaki at leg(s) base, seats 8 people.
It’s a bit kitch, but very special!
UPDATE: The Auckland based Lafitage Trust were thrilled to accept the Tapa Table. The Trust have just moved into new offices and were looking for a suitable boardroom table. Great timing!
